Hopton-on-Sea’s five-star story continues to bloom
Having recently topped an independent Which? survey for the UK’s Best Holiday Parks and Resorts, the good news doesn’t end there.
Because Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea has picked up a prestigious VisitEngland ROSE Award — and this one is pretty special too.
Only 100 accommodation businesses across England receive a ROSE Award each year, selected from a broad field that includes hotels, guesthouses, B&Bs, holiday parks and resorts.
So, this isn’t simply a case of Hopton being one of many holiday parks to pick up an award. In fact, Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea is the ONLY Holiday Village among this year’s 100 recipients, recognised alongside some of the very best places to stay in the country.
There’s a nice bit of history here, too. Hopton-on-Sea became the UK’s first five-star Holiday Village back in 2002, so there’s been a long-standing relationship with VisitEngland (known as the English Tourist Board back then).
Having celebrated 25 consecutive years of five-star assessments earlier this year, this latest award shines the spotlight on something very specific.
What does the Award Mean?
ROSE stands for ‘Recognition of Service Excellence’. While that might sound rather formal, what it really celebrates is something anyone who knows Potters will recognise. It’s the people and the service that make a stay memorable.
The friendly faces, the staff who go the extra mile, the little touches in your room. The service at dinner, the people behind the bars and in the theatres. All those things that happen throughout a break without most of us giving them a second thought.
Hot on the heels of both Hopton-on-Sea and Five Lakes being rated number one by Which? readers for the third consecutive time, our resort in Norfolk now has another bit of national recognition – and one that puts the team firmly centre stage.
