Inspired by Buzby
Yellow Friday became yellow because of the brilliant Buzby Allen, a familiar face to many guests and a man whose positivity and energy have always brightened our resorts.
Back in 2014, Buzby made national headlines when he won the National Tourism Superstar Award, after being nominated for his incredible enthusiasm, care for guests, and dedication to spreading joy. His “VOTE FOR BUZ” campaign — was impossible to miss, thanks to its bright yellow theme that popped up everywhere, from social media and banners to T-shirts and even giant boxing gloves.
When Buzby (naturally) won, we wanted to keep that spirit alive, and so, Yellow Friday was born — a celebration of happiness, kindness, and spreading a little sunshine wherever we can.
Ever since, the colour yellow has become a token of joy at Potters, popping up across the resorts in all sorts of ways — not least those much-loved yellow badges that guests now collect proudly on their visits.
