The addictive game is now taking BOTH resorts by storm
There’s a new sound at Potters. No, it’s not a cast member hitting a high note, or the sound of laughter and music in the Garden Bar, nor is it a crisp wine being poured at your table.
Instead, it’s the satisfying click and clack of pucks gliding across brand-new shuffleboard tables, followed by joyful cheers from winners and despairing groans from those they’ve just toppled at Potters’ fastest-growing game.

What started as a curiosity with a single table at Five Lakes has quickly become something of a phenomenon. Shuffleboard—that wonderfully addictive mix of precision, tactics and light-hearted competition—has firmly found a fanbase at Potters.
We’re adding even more to your fully inclusive experience, having answered the call from guests who’ve seen the game taking off at Potters—with two additional tables in the sports park at Five Lakes, plus a new dedicated shuffleboard area in Norfolk.

A game for everyone
Whether you’re playing with friends or challenging someone you’ve just met on resort, shuffleboard offers a fantastic, fun way to add a little friendly rivalry to your day. And, if you’ve never played before, don’t be surprised if you find yourself hooked after just one game.
Anyone can play, it’s competitive without being combative, simple to pick up, and surprisingly strategic once you get into it. And with its sleek surfaces, the playing experience is every bit as satisfying as the gameplay itself. Some might even call it therapeutic!

And if the early uptake of a game on the new tables is anything to go by, this addictive activity is set to become a serious staple at Potters. It’s part of what makes a break with us so special— trying something new, trying to master it, and always sharing some laughs along the way.
Pass the time at Potters
From ‘Hook-a-Bull’ to crokinole, and petanque to silly games, shuffleboard has already become one of the most talked-about additions to our growing list of pass-the-time activities.
If you’ve yet to try it, now’s your chance. And if you’re already a shuffleboard convert, there’s never been a better time—or more tables—to slide into your next Potters break.
