Thanks to your continued kindness, we’ve just made our second £1,500 donation through the Read It Forward initiative.
Made possible by your generous donations, Zoe Martin of Potters Resorts popped along to St Luke’s Primary School in Tiptree, just a stone’s throw from Five Lakes, to present their nice big cheque.
Met by the school’s deputy head and four of their keenest readers, Zoe explained to the children how the money was raised on behalf of the Potters Friends Foundation, before moving onto important matters—which books the children wanted to see in their library!

The presentation in Essex follows a similar donation made to Hopton Primary School just last month, with the initiative now helping TWO of our most local schools fill their library with much-needed books.
Read It Forwards is truly inspiring young imaginations and nurturing a lifelong love of reading.

Here’s a reminder of how Read It Forward works:
- Pick up a book during your Potters break from The Orangery at Five Lakes, or The Snug at Hopton-on-Sea
- Read and enjoy it — and if you love it, take it home!
- Leave a donation at ReadItForward.co.uk
Every penny goes to local schools like St Luke’s and Hopton Primary School, putting more books into more little hands.
You’re helping create proud little readers, just by doing something you love on your holidays at Potters. And that’s something truly special. So to all who’ve donated — THANK YOU.
This is the Potters spirit: giving back, spreading joy, and making a difference one page at a time.
