One of the most polished, versatile and widely renowned comedy entertainers in the country, Micky Zany has been making audiences laugh for more than 30 years. His career has spanned television, theatre, cruises, corporate events, and the comedy circuit, and he remains one of the most in-demand comics in the business today.

Micky’s long list of television credits includes Celebrity Eggheads, New Faces, Ted Rogers’ 3-2-1, Wednesday at Eight, Saturday Night Out and ITV Telethon alongside Lee Evans.
He’s also supported a host of household names, including The Commodores, The Three Degrees, Jimmy Jones, Joe Longthorne, Kool & The Gang, Frankie Vaughan, Ken Dodd, Linda Nolan, Mick Miller, The Batchelors, and Gene Pitney—to name just a few.
Micky shines as a stand-up act, blending visual and vocal comedy with a hilarious rollercoaster of characters and personalities. His cheeky charm, enthusiastic delivery, and warm stage presence guarantee an audience full of smiles wherever he goes.
Funny Bones from the Beginning
For Micky, comedy has always been more than a job—it’s been a lifelong passion. “I’ve loved comedy for as long as I can remember,” he explains. “I always felt like I had funny bones.”
As a teenager, Micky was glued to TV shows like The Comedians and would regularly head out to watch live comics, secretly dreaming of being the one up on stage. That dream came closer when he entered a talent show at Pontins. He not only won his heat but went on to compete in the Grand Final at Blackpool, where he finished third—without even having a full act yet!
“The comedy seed was sown that night,” he continues. “I never really thought it would come true, but that was the start.”
A Breakthrough in Jersey
Micky’s first big break came when he auditioned for a summer season in Jersey. He went on to perform for several years at the renowned Caesar’s Palace on the island, where his reputation grew. It was here that the Head of P&O Entertainment spotted him, leading to the start of an incredible cruising career that would see him perform around the world for every major cruise line.

Since those early days, Micky has entertained audiences in theatres, cabaret venues, and on ships across the globe. But he admits one TV moment still stands above the rest.
“It’s got to be Thames TV’s Wednesday at Eight with Jim Davidson,” he recalls. “Just before Jim introduced me, he leaned over and said: ‘Remember Micky, there will be seventeen million people watching this.’ Thanks Jim, no pressure!”
Life Beyond the Stage
While comedy may be his career, Micky has plenty of passions away from the spotlight. Chief among them is golf. “Golf! Golf! Golf!” he laughs, when asked about his hobbies. But time with family and friends is equally important, along with watching and learning from other comics.
“I still love going to shows, watching all genres of comedy, and keeping up with current trends,” he says. “I’ll head to The Comedy Store, the Edinburgh Festival, or catch local gigs—it’s important to keep fresh. You never stop learning in this business we call show.”
The Comedian’s Comedian
Today, Micky Zany continues to bring his polished, professional brand of humour to audiences across the UK and beyond. A master of timing, mimicry, and character-driven comedy, he’s as enthusiastic about the craft now as he was when he first set foot on stage.
And after more than three decades in the business, he’s proof that with talent, charm, and genuine passion, laughter never goes out of style.
