In 2025, we launched ‘Every Second Counts’ — a new initiative raising money for two volunteer community first response charities: NARS and BASICS Essex.
The Potters Friends Foundation—a community interest company founded in memory of Brian Potter MBE in 2014—has been a proud supporter of NARS since 2018, putting three first-response vehicles on the roads of Norfolk, most recently following Jack Jenkins’ daredevil antics as part of Jack’s Drive to Save Lives.

And we’re aiming to raise £50,000 in the months ahead, for the life-saving equipment these charities use every day.
We want everyone to be a part of this special campaign, and here’s how you can get involved in the weeks ahead.
“I would walk (three thousand) five hundred miles”
Combined, the counties of Essex and Norfolk span approximately 3,500sq miles. And we’re asking our Potters community to cover that same distance this winter, raising awareness of these amazing charities.
