Ambassador Cruise Line has announced their agreement to become the Title Sponsor for the World Bowls Tour’s three International competitions for the next three years; The Scottish International Open, the UK Open (a new event), and the pinnacle of the World Bowls calendar, the World Indoor Bowls Championships.
This agreement follows their initial successful sponsorship of The Ambassador Cruise Line 2025 World Indoor Bowls Championships, the 17-day tournament which sees the best players from around the globe compete at the ‘home of bowling’, Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea in Norfolk, for four separate titles; the prestigious World Open Singles Championship, the World Open Pairs Championship, Mixed Pairs World Matchplay Championship, and the Ladies World Matchplay Championship.
Ambassador is delighted to confirm their sponsorship for three years, becoming the largest sponsor of Indoor Bowls in the world.

Who is Ambassador?
Ambassador is Britain’s authentic no-fly cruise line offering affordable quality and the warmest welcome at sea. Ambassador’s staff and crew are the friendliest, and most diverse, in the industry. Their guests make long-lasting friendships both with fellow guests and crew, creating a close community at sea.
With more UK regional departures than any other cruise line, Ambassador provides adult-only experiences to the 50-plus market, combined with a selection of multi-generational itineraries.
The year ahead will see Ambassador guests enjoy year-round no-fly cruises departing from ports across the UK, as well as a fly-cruise Caribbean programme, which will debut in Winter 2025/26.
Gordon Nardini, Chief Marketing Office from Ambassador Cruise Line, said: “We’re thrilled to announce Ambassador Cruise Line as the title sponsor of the World Bowls Tour’s three events, following our successful sponsorship of the 2025 World Indoor Bowls Championships at Potters.
“We know many of our guests share a keen interest in bowls, and we are looking forward to meeting many of them at these events. We will also have the opportunity to introduce ourselves to a new and exciting audience.”

A Natural Partner
Gordon Woods, Director of the World Bowls Tour, said: “We could not be more excited to welcome Ambassador Cruise Line as the title sponsor for our three world class indoor bowls events for the next three years. Their enthusiasm for the sport as well as their affinity with the audience that we attract make them a perfect fit for us and we are grateful to Potters Resort for negotiating the deal to not only include the World Indoor Bowls Championships at Potters, but also the Scottish International Open, as well as our new UK Open Championship.”
John Potter, Proprietor of Potters Resorts, said: “We ’re delighted that Ambassador Cruise Line has extended their title sponsorship of the World Indoor Bowls Championships for a further three years. Their unique position in the cruise industry makes them a natural partner, and we look forward to hosting the Ambassador team at the Resort.”
