Bowls at Hopton-On-Sea
With unrivalled facilities, and as home of the World Indoor Bowls Championships since 1999, our Resort on the Norfolk Coast is synonymous with the sport.
Boasting 14 indoor rinks, 4 outdoor rinks and additional facilities catering for all forms of the game, we offer a range of breaks at Hopton-on-Sea including free to enter tournaments in the following formats:

Bowls at Five Lakes
Our indoor sports park features 5 newly-installed Dales rinks and with roll ups available throughout 2022, it’s the perfect opportunity to give a new sport a try, keep up with your practice during your break, or enjoy some friendly competition amongst friends or fellow club members!
Indoor tournaments will be featured on selected breaks from January 2023; with a reduced number of rinks, Five Lakes will host a smaller number of participants for a more intimate tournament experience.
Tournament Formats
Our Tournament Breaks at Potters Resorts offer the chance to enjoy friendly competition with like minded guests. Our bowls tournaments are included in our break, unless otherwise stated.
It’s important to register your participation in our bowls tournaments at time of booking, as playing schedules are arranged in advance of your break. It is therefore not possible to accept late entries to tournaments.

Outdoor Bowls Tours
Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea offers the perfect venue for bowls club to enjoy their annual outdoor tour throughout the summer season. Our Norfolk resort provides a fantastic all inclusive break for your base, featuring superb bowls facilities for practice, roll ups or friendly competitions amongst your club while not playing matches.
With a number of well established and welcoming clubs within a short distance of our resorts, our team will help you touch base with local clubs to bring your tour schedule together. And we’ll even provide you with packed lunches on days where you’re out playing over our lunch service.
