Five Stars for Five Lakes

We’re delighted to announce that Potters Resorts Five Lakes in Essex has retained its 5-Star status for the fourth consecutive year.

VisitEngland’s 5-Star Holiday Village accolade has become a defining part of who we are. It’s a status we’ve held at Hopton-on-Sea in Norfolk since 2002. Meanwhile, Five Lakes in Essex — which has seen tens of millions invested in its facilities and entertainment since 2022 — has now proudly held its own 5-Star Award since it was first earned in 2023.

And not content with simply retaining five stars, each year, Five Lakes has improved its rating, achieving an outstanding 95% in this year’s assessment.

Earning a 5-Star rating is a significant achievement, and one that goes far beyond great first impressions or impressive facilities. It’s about delivering a consistently exceptional experience, where every detail matters. From the comfort and presentation of the accommodation to the variety of activities across 330 acres of Essex countryside, every aspect is measured against the highest of benchmarks.

However, there’s something else that truly sets Potters Resorts apart. The genuine care and professionalism shown by the team and their ability to maintain those standards year after year. That takes ongoing commitment, continual refinement, and a willingness to evolve as expectations change.

For us, Visit England’s 5-Star status is also a statement of intent. It’s a promise to deliver something truly special in the world of UK holidays. Since launching our Fully Inclusive Breaks to guests in May 2022, the resort has and will continue to evolve.
